3. Magic Mike XXL

The original Magic Mike was a hugely pleasant surprise from Steven Soderbergh, an unexpectedly nuanced character study that also let audiences see their fair share of skin in the bargain.

While the sequel, Magic Mike XXL, perhaps didn't feel quite as fresh, it was still another wildly entertaining bromantic drama packed with fun performances and strong character work.

Magic Mike XXXL? Oh, go on then, as long as the majority of the cast is game to return.

How Likely Is It?: Despite grossing over $120 million against a $15 million budget, XXL was deemed a mild commercial disappointment in failing to exceed the original's gross, which instantly puts another sequel in doubt.

Channing Tatum has also stated that the upcoming Broadway show will effectively function as a threequel, so don't count on it, sadly. 2/10
