14 Shocking Facts From The Sony Leak

5. New Info On Paul Feig's Ghostbusters & A Tatum/Pratt Spin-Off?

As Paul Feig prepares his female-centric reboot of the Ghostbusters franchise, e-mails were leaked about the tone and content of the movie. Feig has stated that it will be "scarier and more hi-tech", and they will be approaching Peter Dinklage to play the main villain, a convicted murderer who is turned into a ghost by a lightning storm during his execution and can then raise an army of famous villains through the ages. In addition to seeking four females for the lead roles (which Amy Pascal claims have been shown interest by Jennifer Lawrence, Emma Stone, Melissa McCarthy, Amy Schumer, and Lizzy Caplan), Ryan Gosling is seeking a role, and Feig is looking to cast the lovely Saturday Night Live comedienne Cecily Strong as a government stuffed shirt who tussles bureaucratically with the Ghostbusters. And finally, Channing Tatum has been busy trying to convince Pascal to make a male-centric Ghostbusters spin-off, starring himself and Chris Pratt, which frankly sounds incredible right off the bat. Tatum's characteristically lively e-mail reads thus: €œLet us show the world The DarkSide and let us fight it with all the glory and epicness of a HUGE BATMAN BEGINS MOVIE. I know we can make this a huge franchise. Fun adventure craziness. COME OONNNN!!!€ Sony seemed hot on the idea, and are pushing the Russo brothers (Captain America: The Winter Soldier) as producers. Time will tell!
