15 Best Hans Zimmer Film Soundtracks

8. Man Of Steel

Hear me out. Yes I know it's not as iconic as John Williams' Superman March but Zimmer's score for Man Of Steel is nevertheless epic and awe inspiring.

Even if Zack Snyder's version of The Last Son of Krypton split opinions, the soundtrack perfectly matches the film's darker tone and but still manages to maintain a sense of hope and wonder and remind the audience that Superman is otherworldly.

It's a grand, drum heavy score that while not perfect, is up there with the more memorable superhero themes. And it's also the perfect music to listen to when you're in dire need of motivation.

Best Track: Flight

I Will Find Him gives Michael Shannon's General Zod a great super villain theme and What Are You Going To Do When You Are Not Saving The World is electrifying, but as far as the best track goes Flight just edges it. The Clark Kent learning to fly for the first time scene, would have been so much duller and by the numbers if it wasn't for Flight.

As I said, motivational music at its finest.
