15 Best Scientists In The MCU

Mar-Vell is not only the newest scientist on this list, but is also one of the brightest. Mar-Vell, or Wendy Lawson as she went by on Earth, was a Kree scientist that paid a visit to Earth after rethinking her involvement in a centuries long war between the Kree and the Skrulls.

While on Earth, Mar-Vell worked for the United States Air Force under Project P.E.G.A.S.U.S. With the use of the Tesseract, she created a light speed engine capable of gathering what remains of the Skrulls and transporting them to safety away from Kree forces. This would come at a great cost as she died trying to keep the engine out of Kree hands.

Her efforts did not go in vain as Carol Danvers destroyed the engine. The blast resulted in Carol absorbing the energy and gifting her with special powers. After a trip of self-discovery, Carol dedicated her life to finishing what Mar-Vell started.

Developing an engine capable of Interstellar travel would be impressive enough, but it also resulted in the creation of perhaps the most powerful character in the MCU and led to Nick Fury forming the Avengers Initiative. Mar-Vell's stay in the MCU may not turn out to be a lenghty one, but was surely impactful.
