This odd-looking docufiction experimented with taking film footage and overlaying it with drawings to make an entirely new product and feel. Nowadays the technique they used - rotoscoping - is used everywhere from Game Of Thrones to The Irishman.
It consisted of tracing the filmed subjects so you could alter their appearance and or surroundings in post production.
The vector shapes, colour, and distortion gave this movie a loopy yet truly unique premise for a movie. With such a concept it was explored again by director Richard Linklater in A Scanner Darkly and the Altitude Film distributed Loving Vincent.
