15 Most Rewatchable Movies Of All Time

5. The Wizard Of Oz

Yes, we haven't forgotten this is meant to be an all-time list, not a last 45 years list. And so, in considering older films that still remain as beloved today, there's no way we couldn't include the classic 1939 musical adaptation of L Frank Baum's children's story.

While it wasn't the first film to use glorious full colour, The Wizard of Oz utilises the technology in a way that is still striking to this day; by using grainy black and white for the early scenes in Kansas, and only switching to colour once the twister has whisked Dorothy away to the wonderful land of Oz.

The tale itself, with its witches, munchkins, living scarecrow and tin man and talking lion, is the stuff of timeless fantasy, and because of its overtly theatrical presentation it really doesn't date. It's as fun and touching now as it ever was.

Endlessly repeatable quote: "I'll get you, my pretty! And your little dog too!"

Ben Bussey hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
