What It's About: After Eloise (Anna Kendrick) is dumped by her boyfriend, her place at her oldest friend's wedding is changed: she's now seated at the "random" table with the other assorted freaks and dumpees, all of whom have their own fascinating personalities and life stories.

Why It Can Save Hollywood: For starters, this is a killer premise for a romantic comedy, secondly the film is directed by Jeffrey Blitz (Oscar-nominated doc Spellbound and acclaimed indie Rocket Science), and it's also being written by indie darlings Mark and Jay Duplass. Plus, the cast includes Stephen Merchant, Lisa Kudrow, Wyatt Russell, Craig Robinson, Tony Revolori and June Squibb.

January is historically known as the dumping ground for terrible movies studios have no faith in, but this card-carrying indie could provide some easy, hilarious relief during that time.
