15 Problems Only Film Fans In 2016 Would Understand
8. No More Nicholas Sparks Movies To Laugh At
It's both a blessing and a curse that, due to diminishing box office returns, Nicholas Sparks closed down his production company, meaning that the conveyor belt of adaptations of his sappy romance novels is effectively dead.
The final film was this year's horrendous The Choice, and following its mediocre box office showing, Sparks quietly shuttered his company over the summer.
While on one hand it means less maudlin, treacly romantic dramas clogging up our cinema screens, fans of horrible films everywhere will be mourning one less franchise they can hate-watch with a six-pack of beer.
At least Sparks has quite the back catalogue of movies to pore over, and unless you're an absolute masochist, you've almost certainly not seen them all.
