6. Mr Freeze - Batman & Robin

Some people will tell you that Arnold Schwarzenegger's take on Mr Freeze in Batman & Robin is a hysterically funny kitsch delight that only cynical, over-zealous critics would take seriously. These people are not correct, and they should be taken to task.

When he was announced for Joel Schumacher's second go at ruining Batman, Mr Freeze was one of the best properties in Batman that hadn't yet been adapted. He had huge potential, was at the heart of a very compelling story (which muddied his status as a "normal" villain) and he'd surely make a good focal point.

Then Arnie was cast and that all became impossible - doubly so when the script came into play and all he had to say were juvenile quips that sounded like rejects from a t-shirt slogan creative meeting.
