15 Worst Performances In 2016 Films (So Far)

You have to give Marlon Wayans some credit - he really doesn't care what any of us think. The comic actor has forged himself a nice living out of spoofing whatever film happens to he popular at the time, from Scary Movie and all its sequels to A Haunted House and its one sequel to 50 Shades of Black, which we're all hoping sees zero sequels.

The trick with Scary Movie and A Haunted House was that they were spoofs of half-decent horror movies, a genre that has been proven to blend well with comedy over the years. 50 Shades of Grey, which can be categorised as pornography for cowards, was in many ways un-spoofable on account of already being completely ridiculous.

If Wayans has shown us anything over the years it's that he is trier, yet even he doesn't seem to believe that 50 Shades of Black is actually funny. While he brings all his irritating trademarks in the form of loud noises, over the top reactions and stupid facial expressions to the role of Christian Black, at times he seems to carry a fatigue that has nothing to do with all the sex.

Ask a cross section of movie-goers who they think is the least funniest man working in Hollywood today and a good number would say Wayans, though even fans of his low-brow approach to comedy will find him lacking in this one.
