11. Loki Gets Involved With Thanos (The Avengers)

Although we are yet to see the repercussions of this little failed relationship, you can bet your bottom dollar that there will be some and Loki will get his comeuppance. In joining forces with Thanos to lead his Chitauri army in attacking Earth, Loki left himself extremely vulnerable. Failure wasn't an option - with the Other saying "if you fail, if the Tesseract is kept from us, there will be no realm, no barren moon, no crevice where he can't find you. You think you know pain? He will make you long for something as sweet as pain" - and with Thanos set to reappear as early as this August (in Guardians of the Galaxy), prior to making his presence truly felt in the third Avengers movie, it's unlikely that he will let Loki off for his failure. Loki really didn't consider who he was messing with when he joined forces with the Mad Titan - his childish need for power got the better of his judgement. He will regret it.
