10. ...Then Gets The Avengers' Attention (The Avengers)
Lokis plan in the Avengers was completely flawed mostly because it was dripping with idiocy. His "devious" move to bring the Avengers together, in order to make them bicker with each other (seriously?), was absolutely stupid. Wouldn't it just have been better to launch the attack on Earth without informing anyone so that there was an element of surprise? Granted, he had to come through his portal in S.H.I.E.L.D.s base, but this is a man with the ability to cast illusions he could have made himself look like Thor or even made himself entirely invisible to those present on his arrival. Instead, he made a big entrance, made people hate him, got himself captured on purpose, then brought several potential threats to his plan together as a team, then carried out his plan. Not surprisingly, it failed miserably.
