8. Black Widow Hitches A Ride With The Chitauri (The Avengers)
In the final battle of the Avengers movie, the heroes realised that they needed to reach Lokis portal atop of Tony Starks tower, as the sheer number of Chitauri and space whales that were pouring through it were too many for them to stop causing mass damage. Unfortunately, the large number of Chitauri warriors were preventing them from getting up there and, as a result, Black Widow (Natasha Romanoff) decided to take matters in to her own hands and used an almost suicidal method to access the portal's power source (saying itll be fun! before risking her life). Witnessing the Chitauri fliers zooming past overhead, she used a bunk up from Captain America's shield to grab onto one of them mid-flight. She boarded the flier, killed the alien pilot and commandeered it. Amazingly, the tactic worked and Romanoff got to the portal (although she couldn't actually close it in the end), but even the most minimal miscalculation could have resulted in the flier smashing in to her and killing her. Hell, even if it did work out, grabbing on to a flying vehicle which was moving at those speeds could have easily torn off her arms.
