9. Lifting Thors Hammer (Avengers: Age Of Ultron)
In a film populated by an artificially intelligent menace who wanted to destroy the Earth by dropping a city into it, and a fight between a super-strong green monster and a man in a mechanized war suit, its somewhat surprising that the most epic scene took place during a party. With the Avengers and some friends gathered around, they all start taking turns to see who, if anyone, is worthy enough to lift Thors hammer. The scenes has everything, humour, thrills, and epic scope, despite the characters never even leaving the couch. The most noteworthy moment is, of course, when Captain America actually manages to make the hammer budge, giving Thor a noticeable look of concern before realizing he can breathe easy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=viK5I5eYtbo So much goes on in Age Of Ultron, and there were certainly bigger moments than this one, but this brought all of the major players into a single room together and developed their relationships in a unique and momentous fashion.
