20 Most Rewatchable Horror Movies Of All Time

8. Zombieland (2009)

The Shining Jack Nicholson
Sony Pictures

Taking a leaf out of Shaun in the Dead for being another ‘Zom-Com’, Zombieland is that funny movie with a little bit of everything. It’s a road trip adventure, it’s a survival story, it’s a mini-epic, it’s satirical, it has amazing production values, it has a surprise Bill Murray cameo – it really does have it all!

The juxtaposition between the pathetic Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg) and the fearless Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson) is brilliant – although they’re two complete opposites, they’re an entertaining pairing as they struggle to rely on each other for survival. In fact, the entire prime cast are uniformly excellent, all with a charming chemistry between each other which drives the movie to be even greater.

The ending might be a tad predictable but the conclusion doesn’t really matter because the journey there is what makes the film so thoroughly amusing. Much like Shaun of the Dead, it’s one of the very few comedy-horrors which gets the genre balance just right.
