11. Camille Saviola - Kai Opaka

Saviola appeared in Emissary, the pilot episode of Star Trek Deep Space Nine. She was the first Kai of Bajor shown on-screen, Opaka, before that title passed to Winn Adami. Saviola was born in the Bronx, New York, and studied at the High School of Music and Art.

She was best known for playing supporting roles where she portrayed Jewish, Italian, or Latino characters. She appeared in four episodes of Deep Space Nine as Opaka - Emissary, Battle Lines, The Collaborator, and Accession.

She originated the role of Mama Maddalena in Nine, along with appearing as Matron Mama in the Broadway production of Chicago.

She died on October 28th, 2021 from heart failure.
