20 Star Trek Actors Who Died In 2021

9. Mary-Linda Rapelye - Irina Galliulin

Star Trek Irina Galliulin
CBS

Rapelye appeared in the Original Series episode The Way To Eden, playing Irina Galliulin, one of the group of space hippies that take over the Enterprise. It was an odd episode to be sure, but it has gained a degree of infamy as part of Star Trek's interesting third season.

After Star Trek, she appeared as a regular in Medical Centre, before taking a ten-year break from acting. In 1980, she earned a role in Blind Ambition, following this with a five-year stint on As The World Turns.

She retired from acting for a time, running her own business, White Cottage Bed & Breakfast, in Boothbay Harbor, Maine. She returned to Star Trek in 2006 in an episode of Star Trek: New Voyages, playing Ambassador Rayna Morgan in the episode To Serve All My Days, alongside Walter Koenig.

She died on April 5, 2021, at 76 years of age.
