20 Star Trek Actors Who Died In 2021

15. Henry Darrow - Savar

Star Trek Savar
CBS

Henry Darrow appeared in the Next Generation episode Conspiracy. Here, he played Admiral Savar, one of the unlucky Starfleet personnel who had been infected with the parasitic lifeforms intent on taking over the Federation.

To say that Darrow was prolific doesn't give the man enough credit. He already had appeared in almost 100 productions before he appeared in the stage show The Wonderful Ice Cream Suit in 1965, a role that brought him to the attention of tv producer David Dortort. Dortort then recruited him for the series The High Chaparral, which lasted four seasons and made Darrow a household name.

In 1972, along with Ricardo Montalban, Edith Diaz, and Carmen Zapata, he co-founded the Screen Actors' Guild Ethnic Minority Committee. Darrow, who was of Puerto Rican descent, was the first Latin actor to play Zorro on-screen.

He died on March 14, 2021, at the age of 87.
