20. Venom (Spider-Man 3)
The movie version of Venom was depicted as being only slightly superior to Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man - but that's still no mean feat, given that version of Spidey was strong enough to use his webbing to stop a moving train, fast enough to casually dodge bullets and durable enough to take poundings at the hands of the likes of the Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus and the giant Sandman and keep on fighting. Venom essentially went toe-to-toe with Spidey and generally bested him - but only just. He was quick, agile, super-strong and durable, with webbing and wall-crawling abilities to boot (and very sharp teeth). He does, however, suffer from the glaring weakness of becoming separated from the symbiotic organism that powers him whenever he is exposed to a particularly loud noise. In the movie, it is a church bell in the first instance, followed by Spider-Man surrounding him with hollow metal pipes and hitting them very hard in the second instance.
