George Lucas is the last person one would expect to be giving advise on the set of a horror film, yet he pitched an idea to Coppola regarding a key scene at a screening before the movie's release.

At the film's climax, Dracula's heart is impaled by Mina after their escape to the castle - Lucas suggested she decapitate Dracula altogether, thus killing him once and for all and reuniting them in heaven. Perhaps Lucas has a preoccupation with dismemberment? He seemed keen severing limbs throughout the Star Wars saga - why stop there?
