30 Truly Awful Lines That Ruined Comic Book Movies
18. "Blind, stupid, doo-dah, clueless luck!" - Batman Forever
"One man is born a hero, his brother a coward. Babies starve, politicians grow fat. Holy men are martyred, and junkies grow legion. Why? Why, why, why, why, why? Luck! Blind, stupid, simple, doo-dah, clueless luck!" With that outrageously odd moment, we are introduced to Joel Schumacher's Two Face, or Tommy Lee Jones' poor attempt at a Joker impression as it should probably be known. Jones takes the psychosis of the character too far into the circus tent, with flourishes that simply do not fit with the character ("...doo-dah...?!") and though it's an admirable attempt to give Two Face some kind of politicised motivation, it's written with the same subtlety that Jones puts into his performance.
17. "He may have my soul but he doesn't have my spirit." - Ghost Rider
Cue souringm inspirational music as the audience breaks out into whoops and cheers and Ghost Rider beats his chest defiantly. Or at least that's probably what was intended for this hokey redemptive moment for the devilish soul runner, which instead comes across as a bad rip-off of Braveheart.
