4. And Finally, The Director

Not enough can be said about Joss Whedons vision for this film. Most of you know him as the creator of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer TV series, or as the mind behind the too-soon cancelled TV series Firefly. But Whedon is also a fellow fan boy. He has ties to Marvel through his involvement in writing a run in The Astonishing X-Men comic book series from the mid-2000s. He understands what it takes to bring these heroes together, and how they can all click on-screen, bringing them all together in seamless fashion. Whedon was the perfect choice for this job, and we should all be excited that not only did he knock it out of the park with this first Avengers film, but now he has recently signed on to do the sequel.
