5 Awesome James Bond Villains And 5 That Sucked

5 That Sucked...

5. Dominic Greene

While Quantum of Solace is, generally speaking, nowhere near as bad as people like to suggest, it did suffer from a weak, completely forgettable villain. Part of the problem is that the film is so personal and intimate, that the villain is far from the main attraction, and so Mathieu Amalric €“ who is nevertheless poorly cast €“ isn€™t really given a lot to work with as Dominic Greene. Amalric is a fine actor in his own right, but not at all suited to a man meant to be visceral and terrifying; his small stature doesn€™t at all make him imposing, and he doesn€™t really muster the necessary menace €“ owing more to the script than anything €“ to make him a formidable foe. The only thing keeping him from dropping lower is his pretty awesome death; Bond leaves him stranded in the dessert with only a canister of engine oil, making for one of the most hilariously cruel dispatches of a villain in the entire series.
