50 Infuriating Horror Movie Characters We All Secretly Wanted To Die

14. Carrie (Both Versions) - Chris Hargensen & Billy Nolan

Horror movies really do have a knack for creating insidiously vile school bullies on-screen. Chris Hargensen (played by Nancy Allen in the original, Portia Doubleday in the 2013 remake) and Billy Nolan (John Travolta in the original, Alex Russell in the remake) rank among the most infamous to date, since they pull perhaps the most iconic prank in all of cinema: dumping pigs' blood all over poor Carrie White at her senior prom.

Sadly, this abhorrent prank was perfectly in character for these two, who are total scumbags in every way. Chris is your typical high school bully; she cruelly torments other people and then, if punished for it, she blames her victim instead of herself. As for Billy, he's a brutish thug, and the ever-inconsistent John Travolta (in his first big movie role) made him even less endearing by giving a rather flat performance in the part.

They're bad enough in the original, but the 2013 remake takes these characters to even greater extremes, with both coming off as genuinely psychopathic. Regardless, in both versions, they are insidiously vile, and their death at Carrie's hands feels totally deserved.
