3. Jason Is Back Behind The Mask - Friday The 13th Part VI: Jason Lives

Paramount decided to call it quits with the Friday The 13th series in 1984, so they billed part four as The Final Chapter. The movie ends with Jason getting a machete to the face, and his body being brutally hacked to bits by a very angry twelve-year-old named Tommy.

When the movie caused a flood of money to wash over the studio, they suddenly reconsidered the whole final chapter thing. They immediately put a new film into production, titling it A New Beginning. The movie followed a teenage Tommy during his stay at a Halfway House, where he's haunted by memories of Jason. Soon a killer in a hockey mask starts hacking the place up, but it cant be Jason right?

Turns out it isnt, its just a copycat with a grudge. The ending also hints Tommy has been driven crazy by the events of the movie, and hes about to become the new killer of the series. Fans absolutely hated this twist and wanted Jason, so part six brings him back from the dead and completely ignores the events of A New Beginning.
