9 Movies To Watch After You See Jordan Peele's Us

1. Get Out

Us Babadook
Universal Pictures

An obvious choice, yes, but an accurate one. It's important to revisit Get Out considering both films share themes of duality, as well as how the main characters in both films try to repress (and flat out hide) parts of their identity. It makes for an interesting rewatch to revisit Jordan Peele's Oscar-winning screenplay in that regard.

Kyle AB on Twitter probably said it best, but his sentiments in comparing Us and Get Out deserve to be echoed here. In that sentiment, he reflects on two anxieties which both films focus on. For Get Out, it is suppressing an identity. For Us, it is repressing that identity until said identity manifests itself as a monster that essentially punishes the main character for keeping it dormant for so long.

Get Out touches on many of the same themes that Jordan Peele would revisit for Us and is likely to revisit once again in time for his much anticipated third project.
