9 Star Wars Spin-Offs That Should Be Next

Yes, Vader has gotten more than his fair share of films already. Heck, George Lucas himself sees the entire first six films as being one big epic about Anakin Skywalker.

But the twenty-year gap in-between Episode III and Episode IV leaves room for more stories and is ripe with creative potential. This was obviously covered a bit in his moments during Rogue One, but it's been covered even more extensively in the comic book runs Marvel has been doing on the character. Their current run is set right after the events of Episode III and follows a young, naive, and still very, very angry Darth Vader hunting down the Jedi who survived the purge.

And it is genuinely great. Seeing the transition from the hot-headed Anakin of the prequels to the more cold and calculating Vader of the original trilogy makes for great character development and wonderfully interesting stories. A spin-off film centered on this could go a long way towards building a more coherent bridge between the prequel and original trilogy, while also adding even greater depth to their depictions of Anakin/Vader.
