9 Upcoming Movies That Could Be Franchise Killers

Kate Beckinsale wearing tight leather catsuits and shooting werewolves has been a surprisingly robust formula for the Underworld series, but all signs point to the forthcoming Next Generation being the end of the line for her character; and a very optimistic attempt at having her pass the keys of the franchise over to new characters.  

Beckinsale looked bored out of his mind during the last movie – just like the audience, really - and she’s more than ready to move on to new projects. After all, she can’t play an ageless vampire forever, but rather than wrap up her story and end the series it appears Next Generation will set up future movies, possibly led by bland Divergent hunk Theo James and a paycheque-collecting Charles Dance.

These movies don’t have a whole lot of appeal outside of Beckinsale, and once she leaves the series should quietly retire with her; after all, nobody really wants to see what Theo James looks like in a leather catsuit.
