A Bad Moms Christmas Review: 3 Ups & 6 Downs

6. The Original Characters Don't Interact Much
One of the movie's more surprising disappointments is how little the first film's three leads, Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell and Kathryn Hahn, actually get to hang out together on screen, considering their chemistry is a large part of the original's success.
Instead, they're mostly separated and sent off to deal with their respective overbearing mothers, only occasionally convening to hang out for a scattered scene or two, before it's back to their mothers once again.
It's a shame, because the film is arguably at its best when the three characters touch base, these few moments being where the film manages to recapture what made the first such a surprise hit.
