All The Warner Bros. Films Coming To HBO Max In 2021

4. Judas And The Black Messiah - TBA

Judas And The Black Messiah Movie Daniel Kaluuya
Warner Bros. Pictures

Along with Warner Bros. slated and dated line up, there are also films releasing in 2021 that will come to HBO Max but have not been given a release date yet.

The first of these is Judas and the Black Messiah, a biopic set in the 1960's, looking at the life and eventual death of Fred Hampton, a socialist and activist, and chairman of the Illinois Black Panthers.

Hampton was assassinated in Chicago in 1969, and the film will look at the misinformation campaign sown against himself and the Black Panthers before this by the FBI.

Daniel Kaluuya is set to play Hampton himself, and Lakeith Stanfield will play William O'Neal, a petty criminal who worked for the FBI as an informant. Jesse Plemons also stars as (presumably) an FBI agent, and Martin Sheen will play FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover.

The film will be written and directed by Shaka King, known for directing Newlyweeds and Mulignans, with Ryan Coogler once again serving as producer. Busy guy.

While there is no fixed date, the film is projected to be released around early 2021, so keep an eye out around February/March.
