4. Spider-Man Gets His First MCU Mention

A film which, along with Ant-Man and seemingly every other character from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, will apparently see the first appearance of the new Spider-Man. Thanks to a ground-breaking agreement between Marvel Studios and Sony, the web-head can at last come home and hang out (literally) with the likes of the Avengers. Young British actor Tom Holland was just cast as the new Peter Parker, with indie director Jon Watts helming the next Spider-Man reboot. Before that, it's rumoured that he'll appear in a cameo role during Captain America: Civil War, but his actual Marvel Cinematic Universe debut comes in Ant-Man. ...Sort of. €œIf I'm not mistaken, Ant-Man contains the first reference to Spider-Man in the MCU€ tweeted Josh Boone of Entertainment Tonight, without divulging any further details.
