Arnold Schwarzenegger: Every Movie Ranked From Worst To Best
12. The Last Stand (2013)
While Arnold Schwarzenegger's comeback vehicle may have been a box office disappointment, earning just $48.3m worldwide against a $45m budget, it nonetheless turned out to mark one of the better movies in the former Governor's career. South Korean director Kim Jee-woon makes his Hollywood debut with The Last Stand, adding a strong visual style that makes up for the lack of real substance. Essentially a modern Western, the plot sees Arnie's aging Sheriff forced to recruit a rag-tag group of deputies to defend his small town against an incoming fugitive. Back and more grizzled than ever, the Austrian Oak wisely makes his character vulnerable to the aches and pains that come with advancing years, but still manages to kick some serious ass during the movie's frenetic and wildly entertaining final act.
I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
