Captain America: Civil War - 10 Massive Plot Predictions From The New Trailer
2. Cap Will End Up In The Raft
The latest Captain America: Civil War trailer showed off a snazzy new submergible prison, which seems to take inspiration from both The Raft (a villain-holding facility popular in Spider-Man books) and Prison 42 (an impenetrable lock-up in another dimension for unruly heroes from the Civil War comics). It's obviously going to wind up playing a key part. Perhaps Captain America will end up locked in this hard-to-escape super-prison, rather than dying as previous rumours have suggested. This would allow Marvel to essentially get rid of Cap for an impactful end to Civil War, but keep Chris Evans on standby in case they ever want to bring him back. This could also explain the shot of Tony walking through the prison with a black eye (meaning it is later on) looking glum. He didn't want it to come to this, but sadly he's had to lock up one of his former brothers in arms in an inescapable super-prison. Alternatively: Cap could get sent to prison and get killed, which is similar to what happened in the comics. That'd give Tony double the cause to look upset.
