5. The Witcher's First Trailer Reveals Henry Cavill As Geralt

Netflix released the first teaser trailer for their upcoming The Witcher series, giving fans their first in-motion glimpse of Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, as well as Freya Allan's Ciri and Anya Chalotra's Yennefer.

Furthermore, key locations from both the books and video games were shown off, such as Cintra and the Isle of Thanned, which have been lovingly realised with Netflix's evidently mega-budget approach to the property.

It remains to be seen whether or not The Witcher can truly become "Netflix's Game of Thrones", but between the epic production values and an utterly yoked Cavill who seems to be killing it as Geralt, it's easy to be optimistic.

The Witcher will release in late 2019, most likely just before Christmas.
