DC: Ranking Every Upcoming Movie & TV Show By Anticipation
6. The Flash
Ezra Miller looks like being a big part of Warner Bros' future. The actor, who broke through with roles in We Need To Talk About Kevin and The Perks Of Being A Wallflower, is not only set to play Barry Allen/The Flash in at least three upcoming movies, but also has a mysterious (and possibly recurring) role in Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them.
The good news, then, is that so far Miller looks to have been a great pick. Based on his brief appearances so far, in cameo and the Justice League trailer, Miller has nailed the tone of the character, who'll be the younger and more lighthearted member of the Justice League. The Flash is generally a fun character, and he seems to be capturing that spirit.
Seth Grahame-Smith has written the script, and he doesn't have the strongest track record (Dark Shadows, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter), but he is also writing the LEGO Batman Movie, which looks brilliant. Director Rick Famuyiwa is a very interesting left-field choice, and while not someone you'd typically pick for a superhero movie, he's got plenty of critical acclaim behind him, and doing something differently is no bad thing right now for Warner Bros.
