Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness: 10 Rumours That Could Change Everything

With the Multiverse comes an incredible, almost limitless amount of opportunity to see different heroes in very different ways. Aside from potentially a zombified Steve Rogers, we may also be seeing a very different Captain Marvel in Doctor Strange 2.

The rumour put forward says that the grown up Monica Rambeau set to be portrayed by Teyonah Parris in WandaVision will die. Doctor Strange will then visit a different universe where her mother, Maria, was given powers by the space stone, taking on the Captain Marvel mantle instead of Carol Danvers. Pregnant at the time, Monica is born special as well, growing up to become Photon after inheriting her mother's powers.

With most Marvel crossovers, like Black Widow teaming up with Captain America in The Winter Soldier, or the Doctor himself appearing in Thor: Ragnarok, there is some sort of logic behind them. A grown up Monica Rambeau being cast in WandaVision, however, came completely out of left field.

This rumour does go a long way to making some sense out of it though, acting as something of a prelude to the character being shown as something completely different a year later down the line.
