Returning to the franchise in live-action for the first time since 2016, Hayley Atwell as Captain Carter was certainly a sight for sore eyes.

Though her own episode of What If…? on Disney+ was a disappointing one, the character herself did enough throughout the first and last episodes of the series to garner fans and excitement for Captain Carter's live-action debut.

She essentially continued the character development started in animated form the previous year, as exactly what you’d expect from what was essentially a variant of Captain America. Peggy Carter was a warrior, a leader, and of course, she could do this all day.

As with the rest of the team, it is absolutely criminal that she was killed off so unceremoniously, as just about everyone watching the Doctor Strange sequel would likely have paid money to see a movie based around this Illuminati team a bit further down the line.
