Every Leonardo DiCaprio Movie Ranked Worst To Best
21. Don't Look Up (2021)
It's easy to see what drew DiCaprio to Adam McKay's apocalyptic Netflix dramedy Don't Look Up, which tackles public opinion, climate change and media influence, but it's even easier to see what went wrong with the finished product.
Known as a devout advocate for environmentalism off-screen, you can see DiCaprio trying to expel some of his own frustrations through Dr. Randall Mindy, a professor who desperately wants everyone to take the planet's doom seriously, but like the rest of the cast he's given very little to work with.
Condescending and silly, Don't Look Up's message is buried by tired humour and thin characters, but credit where it's due: Of all the actors in the ensemble, DiCaprio is the only one to find some humanity in the script and escape the film slightly unscathed.
