Every M. Night Shyamalan Movie Ranked From Worst To Best
10. Praying With Anger
Shyamalan's 1992 directorial debut Praying with Anger is by far the least-seen movie in his entire filmography, because it's never received mainstream distribution and is largely circulated these days through bootleg copies posted to YouTube.
Shyamalan not only writes, directs, and produces, but also stars as an Indian-American man who returns to India as part of a college exchange program and in turn discovers his roots.
Clearly, this is the most autobiographical movie of Shyamalan's entire filmography and the only out-and-out drama he's ever made. While hardly particularly compelling as a work of cinema, it endures today largely as a curio for Shyamalan obsessives.
Shyamalan is unsurprisingly unable to fully carry the film with his leading performance, and this is unaided by an excessive 107-minute runtime.
