Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 Trailers: 7 Reasons To Be Concerned About The Film

4. Are New Cast Members Being Hidden?

Vol. 2 features a slew of new additions to the main cast, including Elizabeth Debicki, Kurt Russell and Sylvester Stallone, but even though we're just 5 months out from release, we still haven't seen anything from them - and we don't even know who Stallone is playing.

And that's a little concerning, especially considering that Russell and Stallone are two of the biggest stars on the planet. Wouldn't Marvel want to show them off? As it stands, it feels like the studio is hiding them, and Debicki, intentionally, which is either very good, or very bad.

On one hand, the three roles could be being hidden because Marvel feel they haven't panned out too well, or they'll be an incredibly tough sell that might not click with audiences - that would explain their absence from the trailers.

Or, the film's marketing team could be trying to reveal as little as possible, which would be fantastic, but unheard of in an era where 99 percent of blockbusters blow everything in the trailers.

We had a similar story with Batman v Superman earlier this year. Wonder Woman had roughly one line in all three main trailers, and as it turns out, her delivery in the film wasn't all that believable - so the studio smartly kept it from view.

It's unclear why Vol. 2's new additions are being kept so closely guarded, but there's a chance it's because they didn't turn out as strongly as they should've.
