3. Amycus Carrow And Alecto Carrow – Taught The Dark Arts And Lied About Muggles
In The Deathly Hallows, Amycus Carrow is made the new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher, and his sister (Alecto) is made the new Muggle Studies teacher.
Amycus simply removes the defensive aspect from Defence Against the Dark Arts and allows his students to practice dark magic at will. Most refuse to do so, but those who enjoy the dark arts are actually allowed to use the Cruciatus (torture) Curse on other pupils.
As for his sister, Alecto teaches her students that all Muggles are like animals and that they forced the wizards into hiding against their will. Muggle Studies is also made compulsory so that no one is exempt from listening to this nonsense.
Luckily for the students of Hogwarts, they only have to put up with this dark, authoritarian regime for one year.
