Though jump-scares and startling noises are synonymous with horror, A Quiet Place took a different approach by weaponising silence. Set in a world populated by aliens with hyper-sensitive hearing, the survivors must remain quiet to stay alive.
With its killer premise and John Krasinksi's sharp writing and direction, A Quiet Place was an instant classic. And after Part II did well financially and critically, it was apparent audiences wanted more. But after the release of the prequel, A Quiet Place: Day One, news of a direct sequel went fittingly quiet.
But not only is A Quiet Place Part III happening, Krasinski is returning to helm and pen the project. The 2027 threequel will see the return of Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, and Cillian Murphy, alongside new faces, like Jason Clarke (Oppenheimer,) Katy O' Brian (The Mandalorian,) and Jack O' Connell (Sinners).
Another reason to get excited (and saddened) is A Quiet Place Part III will serve as the conclusion of the prized franchise. For this reason, Krasinski will surely pull out all the stops with the action, gore, emotional conflicts, and tragedy.
