9. Whitney Houston
Best known for her work in the music industry, Whitney Houston was an outstanding talent, with Guinness World Records citing her as the most awarded female act of all time as well as the only musical artist to have seven consecutive songs that hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100, and her self-titled debut was listed on the penultimate list of music, Rolling Stones 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. Also appearing and helping with the soundtrack for films such as The Bodyguard, The Preachers Wife, and 2012s Sparkle, which was released posthumously, Houston was a prominent face in film, and after her death was honoured in many ways including a dedication of an episode of Glee (which, all jokes aside, is a great tribute for any musician). Whitney Houston was a queen of pop songs, and she will be missed.
