Infinity War: 10 Likeliest Candidates For The New Avengers

2. Black Panther

Lose a Prince of Asgard, gain a Prince of Wakanda. Though T’Challa is no Thor, he does represent a royal from a unique culture who thinks his problems are more important than everyone else’s. Unlike Thor, he's more introverted, both in personality and his more stealth-oriented approach.

Black Panther has long been a member of the Avengers, though he’s spent his current comic time on the Illuminati trying to save the universe. His calm personality is not unlike the Vision’s and he gives a needed breath of fresh air to the team. Like many of the candidates, he does not outwardly seem like the best of candidates to join a team, but forcing of a bunch of types like him together to fight a common menace is what makes dynamics interesting.

His role in Civil War is setting up his solo outing but it’s clear that Black Panther is being groomed as the next power player in the MCU, and power players don’t sit on the sidelines while the universe is being threatened.
