14. "You Smell Nice"

The manner of Superman's return is a little iffy, but it at least worked in the established logic of the Genesis Chamber on the Kryptonian scout ship and the Mother Box's power of regeneration. It didn't really make a lot of sense that Superman's only hangover would be mild forgetfulness that wore off and a bit of a bad mood, but in the interest of drama, it's allowable.

What's not on is the fact that Lois Lane's first exchange with the revived hero includes her saying "you smell nice." How? How the hell does someone who has been lying in the grave for months (special Kryptonian stasis or otherwise) smell "nice"? How does he smell anything other than "ripe"?

Or is that fluid in the Genesis Chamber actually eau de toilette or something?
