Mad Max: Fury Road Trailer Breakdown - 10 Things You Need To See
3. Nicholas Hoult As Nux
Besides Hardy and Theron, the other big (and barely recognisable) addition to Mad Max's cast in Nicholas Hoult. Yep, that Vulcan-eyebrowed kid from About A Boy who grew up to be the Vulcan-eyebrowed teenager from Skins, eventually graduating to Hollywood fare like X-Men: First Class, is singled out amongst the various punky lunatics that are going to be menacing the desert in Fury Road. It looks like Hoult's Nux might even be the one responsible for capturing and imprisoning Max in the first place, if you can believe Tony Stonem's capable of such a feat. On first glance you might miss Hoult's appearance altogether, since he certainly looks a lot different from what audiences are used to basically, he's bald all over (including the eyebrows!), with a deathly pale pallor and horrendously chapped lips. And a somewhat broad cockney accent with which he hoots and hollers about what a lovely day it is, despite all evidence to the contrary. Like the fact that he's living in a post-apocalypse. The other main antagonist who's been highlighted throughout Fury Road's marketing campaign so far has been Hugh Keays-Byrne (who appeared in the original film as a baddie called Toecutter) as Immortan Joe, who has a cool look but, really, that's all we know about him so far. Nux, meanwhile, is a totally new character played by an exciting young actor, who looks to be one to watch if he can subdue Mad Max...
