1. Grandmaster

Another Elder of the Universe, the Grandmaster's place of origin is unknown, but he is one of the oldest living beings in the universe, coming from one of the first intelligent races to evolve after the Big Bang. Like the Champion of the Universe, he's not necessarily a full-on villain, but he is the scourge of many a hero, given the nature of his activities. He is a cosmic game player whose preferred game is pitting two opposing teams against each other for his own amusement and, given his power, they are usually powerless to stop him from doing so. It would be interesting to see him using the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Avengers in this way, as the possibilities are endless regarding teams or groups that he could pluck from around the galaxy to face them in one of his challenges. Just as an example, he could be used as a means of bridging the gap between the Earth-based Avengers and the cosmic enforcers the Guardians of the Galaxy (who will appear on screen for the first time next year in a self-titled movie) - pitting them against each other for his personal entertainment. Interestingly, he was the organiser of the Avengers versus Justice League crossover comic book storyline, pitting the two most famous superhero teams from Marvel and DC respectively against each other. Such an on-screen meeting is a long way off and seems completely impossible at the moment. However, if by some miracle, a deal can be arranged between Marvel/Disney and DC/Warner Brothers somewhere down the line, an appearance from the Grandmaster could mean a live action meeting between the likes of Chris Hemsworth's Thor and Henry Cavill's Superman, a meeting between Chris Evans' Captain America and Ben Affleck's Batman and a meeting between Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow and Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman. How awesome would that be? So there you have it; Eight extraterrestrial villains it would be a pleasant surprise to see in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Do you agree with this list?
