This was it. As the heroes do battle with Thanos and his army, and the Mad Titan grows ever closer to fulfilling his "destiny", Tony realises he must lay down his life once more to ensure the future of the world.

Taking the full power of the Infinity Stones, he snaps his fingers and vanquishes Thanos' army. The power of the Stones proves too much for him, though, and he dies, giving his final words: "I am Iron Man."

Captain America once said that Tony Stark was not the kind of guy to make the sacrifice play, but in this moment he proves the super soldier wrong and gives his life to save the universe. It doesn't get much greater than that.
