12. Naked Selvig - Thor: The Dark World
Look, I like Stellan Skarsgard and you like Stellan Skarsgard. He’s a great actor and brings a touch of class to any movie regardless of the role. One thing neither of us needs to see is him reduced to the wacky comic relief, who runs around in the nude while spouting nonsense.
Sadly that’s what he’s given in Thor: The Dark World, where he’s introduced in a news clip running around Stonehenge in the buff, with only pixels to protect his Skarsgard's. It’s an example of the goofy, forced humour of The Dark World, and in addition to not being especially funny, it reduces Selvig to a one-note joke because the producers felt the need to bring him back, but didn’t know how to use him.
He didn’t get much to do in Age Of Ultron either, but at least he got to keep his pants on.
