MCU: Marvel Won't Reveal Phase 4 Plans Until After Spider-Man: Far From Home
It's going to be a while yet before we got those post-Endgame MCU plans.
Marvel have a five-year plan for Phase 4 of the MCU, but don't expect it to be revealed until after this summer's Spider-Man: Far From Home.
The focus at the moment is on Avengers: Endgame, which is set to close out Phase 3 and the entire Infinity Saga. After that, Far From Home is the only movie that Marvel officially have pencilled in, with a release date of July 5, 2019. That's expected to kick start Phase 4, which is set to include the likes of Black Widow and The Eternals, but Kevin Feige is going to keep his cards close to his chest a while longer yet. Speaking to IGN, Marvel's head honcho said:
"I will say all of the post Comic-Con, post Spider-Man: Far From Home stuff, we ... Here's an exclusive. We're gonna keep making movies. We're gonna still keep making movies after these two. And we will talk about them soon after Spider-Man: Far From Home comes out."
Exactly when that will be is unclear, as Feige even refused to say whether or not the studio would have a presence at San Diego Comic-Con this year, noting "that is also sort of a post-Endgame spoiler."
Still, we can look to some time in July to get a full picture of Marvel's upcoming slate. Black Widow is expected to be the next film after Spider-Man, coming in May 2020, followed by The Eternals or, perhaps, Doctor Strange 2, with Black Panther 2, Captain Marvel 2, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3, and Shang-Chi also on the horizon over the next few years.
